Hey all, just wanted to spread the word about an event we've got in the works with Cabela's for Saturday April 14th. @craigm & I will be doing a ~30 min presentation at 12:00 (noon) in the store that's open to all. We're calling it an AEM Info Session, basically just going to talk a bit about AEM, how we make the maps, advantages of our maps and how they can help you put more fish in the boat. We'll also be giving away a print map, it will be a "throw your names in a hat" type draw for anybody in attendance.

Following the presentation, from 1:00-3:00 we'll be set up to do the third and final in-store chip upgrade session for the year, again we're asking anybody interested in doing this to pre-order from our website beforehand. Pro-staff @Mike B. and Matt Cornell will both be hanging out to talk fishing and spread the AEM gospel. :thumbsup1:

Anyways, we'd love to see some of the CFF crew out, might even be a good excuse for a mini CFF meet-up between hard & soft water seasons! (Link to facebook event - https://www.facebook.com/events/171276613577935/ )

Yep they’re stocked up, I think I even heard they’re giving out a free fireball shot with any chip purchase ...

I'm hoping to be stopping in to get my chip redone due to the Falcon thing.

Jason, you and anyone in attendance, come grab me if you like and we can take a tour of the maps on an HDS unit and just talk fishing!

I'm really looking forward to this as a chance to get out and talk open water and ice fishing if that's your forte, with some good folks! Been awhile since I was able to get away and unwind and share the passion for fishing. It's the next best thing to being on the water! :)

Ha! That same thing crossed my mind. I might have to bring the little guy and teach him all about mapping!

I told the BIL about this and he said he isn't "good" with seminars, lol. I told him it will be very casual I'm sure. He said he will more than likely go so he can at least pick up a chip.

I don't know much, but I'll do my best to teach Spoon that a spinning reel goes underneath the rod..... :)

OMG... he isn't one of those, is he... Man, when I see people with a spinning reel on top I want to just buy a jelly filled doughnut and smoosh it into their nose! And seriously...I mean SMOOSH!

Minor change to a colour scheme resulted in some colour display compatibility issues for those running 2018 maps on original Elite, Elite DSI and Elite CHIRP, and Hook 1 series units. Falcon Lake was the only lake affected. Everyone who upgraded at the Fishin Hole event on March 2 was notified if I was unsure of what model of sonar they were running. I left you off the list Patty as you are running HDS (Elite Ti also unaffected), but if you want to bring your chip to Cabelas we can re-program your chip so that it displays properly in the aforementioned units, should you ever plug it into something different than HDS or Elite Ti. Up to you. Non issue for 2018 chips on the shelves, and for anyone that upgraded at Pro-Am, or via mail in.
