    That reminds me of a similar story:

    A police officer attempted to pull over a car for speeding. When the officer turned on his siren in pursuit, the car speed away. A short time later, the car pulled over and the officer approached the vehicle. The lone occupant was an old man. The officer then stated that he would let the old man off if he could give him a good reason for his excessive speed. The old man replied: Twenty years ago my wife ran off with a police officer and I thought you were bringing her back. He was let go without a ticket.
