Hook 4 on sale at Canadian tire. $239.93 with HDI ducer. Bought one for the tinner, cheap way to run AEM and good to make into portable. Bought mine in Dryden but I seen some availability in Winnipeg. Hook 4.jpg

Would you need to do anything to convert this to a ice unit?
    New ducer?
Sorry if it's a dumb question but I am not familiar with these units.

Yeah, you would need the PTI-WBL ice ducer, as well as a small 12V battery and carrying case.... But this unit is both very compact and doesn't draw much power, so the requirements are pretty basic.

Just as an FYI, the HDI open water transducer that comes with this unit retails for ~ $175.00. https://www.thefishinhole.com/index.cfm?action=product&kw=/LOWRANCE/HDI-SKIMMER-TRANSDUCER/&se=29668

If you aren't going to use the unit for open water fishing, or if you just want the unit to run maps....you should be able to sell a new HDI transducer for ~$150. So you are essentially getting the head unit for ~$120, taxes in. Phenomenal deal in my Lowrance biased opinion. ;)

Cabela’s in Winnipeg has about 8 Elite 4 CHIRP units on the shelf, $199 blow out price.
