Do any of you know if my ice 45 transducer will work on my Helix 7 G2n? Was told it would but would like to verify with someone else before I end up on a lake with a non functioning unit.

Xi 9 19 is the ice 45 transducer.
Xi 9 20 is the Helix ice transducer.

    They are different.

Ok. I have the Helix 7 G2n (chirp gps si).
Just figured I'd throw on my ice ducer from the 45 for the remainder of this year if it would be compatible.

I find target separation better, faster, and it is using both cone angles at the same time.
After using it I decided that my Marcum LX7 is now my deadstick flasher/backup .
    Helix is my main unit

What Ram6.7 said, when I switched to a Chirp unit, I could actually pick up my minnow head on the treble hook under my live target in 12 FOW. Pretty unbelievable if you ask me... that also translated to picking up way more fish on the bottom that I would've missed or never seen without the Chirp

Hi Ron, I too like my Helix 7 G2 CHIRP, better than my LX7 or Elite 7 CHIRP (no CHIRP ice ducer that I could find:angry:) for ice fishing. I was able to see a couple of Helixs in action before I dove in and if you want to get together for some late ice action you can try my Helix. I also wanted the auto chart live for Cedar.

Sounds like I need to get my hands on the CHIRP ice ducer! I have been using a Helix sonar on the ice for a couple years now, but currently have the standard ‘ducer hooked to a G2 unit.
    Thanks for your input guys!!!!

I too started using a ICE Helix 7 CHIRP G2 this season........would agree to what the others have said. The LX-7 I had, although a fantastic unit, is now the property of another member!!!!! Also have an Elite 7 CHIRP but use the standard transducer with it.

    That Helix is the bomb!

Anyone here try a Lowrance model other than the old discontinued Elite/hook models which are the lowest end graphs Lowrance sells? Any one try an HDS, Carbon, or Elite Ti on ice? Just wondering.

Running my HDS7 gen 2 the last couple weekends. Absolutely love it on the ice. Going to be running it all next year and my LX6 will probably be a backup.

@lake-fisher I used my gen3 hds9 on ice the few times I was out this year and loved it. Only had the issue with the touch screen and the transducer which never got resolved but I found a way around it.
