5 years old, only used a few times the last two years, flawless operation since new, latest firmware installed (v5.10 October 2016), slight scuffing to display screen and snow shield that is only visible when the screen is off, no effect and not visible when operating. Newer 9ah battery (always maintained properly), snow shield and owners manual included. I always rewire my units to accept the Noco Genius charging system, I will purchase a new Noco Genius G750 Smart Charger for the buyer. Units sell locally for $1110 ($1255 taxes in), buy mine for $750, PM if interested

You no longer have the power adaptor for this or it can no longer be used because of the re-wiring?

Z - The power adapters were not high quality - many of us switched to better, safer, more reliable chargers - the Noco is eons better than the factory charger.

Ok. I PMd BGF about the rewire. I would like to use my NOCO (on boat batteries now) on my LX7 and Vexilar as well.

If you are talking the charger, I throw the OEM chargers in the garbage cause IMO that's all they are really good for! It was probably still in the factory wrap when it hit the can. If someone has OEM charger it can still be used without a problem, it's simply plug and play, the two prong connector is where the factory charger would connect, also if someone already has a Noco charger, I'll reduce the price by $50 either way. I'll post a pic of the Noco pigtail that can be easily detached.

In case anyone is thinking of purchasing this but is hesitant to buy a used item, I just want to throw this out there...I've bought a few items from BGF in the past. I'd put money on it that he takes better care of his gear than almost anyone.

It'll be in at least as good of shape as he describes, if not better.

I think the LX7 is a bit too much to start for Scott given he's just getting into ice fishing. I'm thinking something more in line with a used Ice 35, Fl8 or entry level locator for the ice.

You can, and a lot of us do. You just need a case, battery, another power cable, etc... but some of our summer units are too large for ice use. For example my hds 12 is too big to use on the ice. I just bought a smaller unit to dedicate to winter use. I use to have a marcum lx-5 and honestly miss the ease of portability for when I am moving around a lot. I may just buy one for again for that reason alone.

I take my power cables out of the boat so not an issue there. I think my HDs 7 would be fine. Ice ducer I guess would also be an item.

I set up my HDS7 last winter for the ice and transfer it from the boat in the winter. I also use a Marcum LX5 as they both have there benefits on the ice. I like the Marcum for jumping to holes quick and the HDS7 in a spot I'm fishing for a while.
