I've tried uploading pics straight from my Samsung s4 but it says the file is too large. Anyone have any ways around that?

I have the max file size set at 3 MB. That's a big file. Most forums have it set at either 1 MB or 2 MB. It must be a huge file you're trying to upload.

Let me know the size of your file and I'll set it accordingly.

Other then that you could decrease the size by cropping or down grading it.

check your phone settings for picture size/quality. You can adjust the settings as to how good (big) the file will be. unless you are printing large scale photos and framing them, anything midrange is suffice.
