So if you&#039;re in 10&#039; of water and you mark something 30&#039; away you have to minus the 10&#039;. so it&#039;s actually 20&#039; away.

Took out the bobber tackle and was frustrated to my limit trying to get 6 lb fluoro through the bobber. I ended up wrapping it around some thin wire and it finally made it through. <br />
Got home and did some head scratching and came up with this. <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I purchased the Daiwa Procyon AL 3000D reel. I want to use it in combination with a Daiwa Ardito Travel spinning rod, but the only one that I can find is one that has a line weight of 6-15lbs. (medium power). My reel has a drag max of 22lbs. <br />

My apologies if this is a dumb question, should I opt for a rod that has a higher line weight? There is an option for a rod that has a line weight of 8-17 lbs. (medium heavy). I might snag a pike, and I hear those can get pretty big, not sure how big,...<br />

Second time in a year breaking the little plastic piece that holds the lanyard on.  I have seen some guys put eyelets under the screws but here is my fix. Drill two holes in the bottom case and feed wire through. Enough room in there for two crimps under the circuit board. Seems pretty sturdy and if it ever comes apart I can replace the wire and crimps in minutes. Could put a dab of sealant if needed but the wire fit in snug.]]></content:encoded>

Back in the day when I was a kid my old man would just troll.  25hp Merc running shorelines with original floating minnow Rapalas.  Once the fish moved out of the 6-8&#039; range it would be jig and minnow for the rest of summer.  Nothing wrong with these techniques and over the years I kinda developed the same kind of style.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Picked up a good used 20amp Cabelas Pro-Series 3 bank charger awhile back.  But I&#039;m only running a 12v bow mount, so I only have 2 batteries in my boat.<br />

I will likely switch to a 24v motor in the very near future, so picking up the 3-bank charger made sense to me.<br />
<br />
However, how are guys hooking up a 3-bank charger to only 2 batteries?  Do you double up the leads on the bigger trolling motor battery and henceforth double the charging AMPs?  I&#039;ve read in a few places that guys are doing this,...<br />

Abu has made the 1st rod with a built-in button, (on the butt-end) that can talk to your Lowrance plotter and mark a waypoint! Super cool idea! <br />

Some of us like to use our &#039;fish finders&#039; like they were meant to be used. One of those uses is marking waypoints. Lots and lots of waypoints. <br />
Waypoints for rocks. Waypoints for structure. Waypoints for fish marked on the sonar. Waypoints for fish caught. Waypoints for launches, meeting points, drop-offs, holes, shelves... The list goes on...<br />
IMO if you&#039;re not saving at least 20-30 waypoints in an afternoon of fishing you&#039;re not utilizing that feature enough. <br />
