I just dump mine down an old well head. There’s lots of them in the country. :D

Actually the RM where I live makes it pretty easy to dispose of oil in their collection tanks at the dump.

The 4R takes old oil... also I worked at MR Lube when I was 16, maybe things have changed but I won’t take my vehicles there lol

Canadian tire has dump areas usually back side of the garage. Takes 2 minutes to swing and drop it off a couple times a year.

Drain oil, change filter, put plug in, fill oil, put old oil into empty jugs. Easy peasy.

Gives you a chance to give the truck(vehicle) a good once over and see if anything else needs attention.

Not any more. They will charge you if you leave it there. Take it to the 4R recycling. I had a go with the manager... said how can you charge the used oil levy, but not take used oil?

Since when? I just dropped some off a couple weeks ago. If that’s the case just drop it off after hours lol

I just dropped some off too. Just drive around and put it in the bin. Would suck if they stopped that, was so convenient.

Maybe just the garden city one. Don’t know. The 4R is closer to me anyways.

I prefer Super Lube. They don't up-sell you on other crap like the other oil change places.

Jeez. I’ll stick to my $45 dollar diy changes. Even through our warranty period I did them, just document and keep the receipts.

put my truck thru some extended warranty work, the guy pretty much said as long as it had the OEM oil filter on when it comes in they would put everything thru warranty.
surprisingly the filter was only like 7$ from the dealer. he also said the factory ones had some sort of check valve in them, but i think that coulda been BS to get me to change it before i brought it in

You're not accounting for the dollar value attributable to pain in the a**.
    DIY = $45
+ rolling around the dirt getting rocks in my back and road grime in my eyes ($15)
+ hot, used motor oil running up to my armpit ($22)
+ Disposing of used oil ($5)
+ 3 consecutive days of back ache (because getting old)($37.50)
+ Wife won't let you touch her till your hands are clean ($undisclosed for legal/safety reasons)

My last one on my truck I just did two weeks ago with the Kirkland Full Synthetic oil and NAPA Gold filter... will report if I notice anything out of the ordinary. Figured my truck is 13 years old and just shy of 200K, why not give it a go.

Let me know what you think of that oil, might go to that after my warranty is up.
