This is probably gonna be one of the stupider questions. But why the hell are the back legs on a buck sticky?

I take it that's part of the way they mark there territory as well other than just rubs and scrapes? I know my buck was rubbing hard on pine trees his antlers are filled with sap/ gum

    You mean on fur?
If so, as above - they purposely let their urine run down their leg, over their scent gland (on inside of rear leg knee, the 'brownish' fur patch) to 'mark their presence"

    Nope, that's Dr. Pepper.

Don't ask me how raw sewage and fertilizer ends up smelling like Dr. Pepper though.

This little guy wandered into my yard on the weekend, and walked right up to me and nuzzled my hand, looking to get petted!

Hung around for over an hour, eating, frolicking and and looking for attention.

Been back a few more times since, and has visited the neighbours too.

    Really bizarre behaviour.

Pinawa has a lot tame deer, same with Buffalo Pt. A buddy has a seasonal at Pinawa. One doe used to lie down like a dog in front of his steps. That same doe ate his granddaughter’s birthday cake when it was left on the picnic table lol.
