    Hello Fellow Fisherman

This is an introduction to Glenn’s Custom Tackle.

I’m a guy whose hobby got a little carried away!!

Many years ago I felt the need to start to make my own spinners as our 5 adult children who all fish never showed up with much fishing gear. I never minded as it always made Christmas easy for me. Then several years back my wife surprised me with a trip to Panama. WOW. Went from being a person who never cared about travel to one with another “Addiction”. Travel to warm ocean climates and MORE FISHIN!! The next year was Mexico where fishing gear is expensive.I started with one Do-it Lead mold and now have 13. I had the need to build heavy rigs so I added a couple of crimping tools and now have 23 spools of Fluorocarbon Leader material hanging over my bench. Ten # to 100# test. Another 6 spools of Vinyl coated Stainless Steel leader material and thousands of dollars in terminal tackle from the very small to 900# SS swivels. Single hooks up to 9/0 and a large assortment of trebles.

So if you can think it I can build it.

Some guys still like leaders. I do them in Fluorocarbon and wire. I pride myself on Quality!!

    Everyone make spinners. So I don’t bother. I make Red wire spinners 30, 60 & 90 # test.

Rigs of every description! For Cats Carp, Sturgeon, Silver Bass and anything you can think of including ocean rigs. Not to forget Ice fishing.

In January I will be using 400# test Pickerel Rigs with my feet in the sand and a crevasse in my hand.

    Weights - ¾ to 5 oz. Bass Sinkers, Storm sinkers & Trolling Weights 2, 3 & 4 oz.

    Round Socket eye jigs 1/8 to 5/8 oz. Ultra-Jigs 2, 3 & 4 oz. All with 3D eyes

    Ear balls from very small to 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8 oz. Large have 3D eyes

    Lead casting/trolling spoons including 2, 3 oz.

My latest products are 2 size of Stainless Steel Casting/trolling spoons – Very heavy – 3 inch, very thick 1.7 oz. / 48g. - 6 inch very thick 4.7 oz. / 134g. These I built for saltwater use. They both spin very well and probably would work well for monster pike and lake trout as well. There is a possibility of powder coating them, as well as working on reflective tape also.

My painted products are powder coated and baked on to finish them.

For the record... I've seen Glens' stuff. I use some if it myself. It's top quality. Very good workmanship. He doesn't use cheap materials.

The last couple I made went to God's River. Tell me how you would like it made I build one and take a picture. Linking a Google image works as well.

Most of the Rigs are custom made. As everybody wants something different I don't build to many in advance. It would never be the right one.

Well I got up to see Stickey's Bait & Tackle (Dauphin MB) today. Dropped of some stuff he needed and had a really good visit.
I see I have lots to learn!!
I am open to any input you might have on different products I might add to what I make and suggestions like I received today to make what I do better.
    Thanks Don!!
