How about a fishing trip swap sub forum. I know a few of the hunting forums I frequent have “swap a hunt” forums and I have personally made some good friends and gotten to share some unique adventures that way.
I know I’d be all in to swap fishing trips. Give us all a chance to fish species or areas we might not otherwise get a chance to fish without spending copious amounts of $$ on outfitters.

Could you explain in detail how that works?

    Who swaps what?

For example I have seen people offer a waterfowl hunt in Saskatchewan in exchange for a turkey hunt in Illinois. That kind of thing. Personally I have swapped a few days goose hunting in Northern Ontario(when I lived there) for a few days Crappie fishing on the St.Lawrence with a fellow. I’ve also swapped a fellow some fishing in my neck of the woods for a turkey hunt in his. Like any other trip I just booked a room to stay in and then hunted/fished with the person hosting me and I did the same in return, hosted them in my area for something that interested them.

Another hypothetical example: Have you ever thought I’d like to try for Red River Cats some day but you live 24 hours drive away and have no knowledge of the area? Well then maybe you could post what you are able to provide as an experience that may interest someone in your area for an outing on the Red River for Cats, something they have knowledge of in their area.

That's a great idea. Hosting someone in our area, and then they do the same for you in their area.

Exactly, I have made some good friends that way and have many options to explore in the future.

    Thanks for the idea @Frank_NK28

I think it's worth a shot... Let me sleep on it. I'll try to come up with plan.

I still have to squeeze in a January US east coast sea duck hunt and a feral pig hunt in Texas for some waterfowl hunts I provided to a couple buddies living stateside. Last year I put a fellow I met on another forum a few years back onto his first ever snow and specklebelly geese. In exchange he offered me a bucket list fishing trip for big fall walleye on Bay of Quinte. Work keeps getting in the way but one day soon I’ll make all the trips I’ve planned.

I'm awake now! It slipped my mind.

I'll set up a sub forum "Swap A Fishing Outing" in the next day or two...
