Starting to do some serious thinking about trolling motors is a 60 in shaft long enough? I do enjoy fishing big water like lake winnipeg Buffalo etc

Figure out what it is and use it for the rest of the year to see if it’s long enough.

I would guess a 60” would be enough but without seeing your boat in the water it is just a guess.

So many shaft length comments I could make lol

Personally 60” seems fine for anything I’d want the electric out in anyway…

60” will be plenty. If you drop it right to the bottom even in reasonably rough stuff it shouldn’t pop out of the water often. Plus, on our size boats that most of us here have (16-20ish’) mounting a 72” motor is going to be awkward.

I just directed someone to Holiday RV to buy a Terrova.........they have them, at pretty good prices too.....BUT, Minn Kota has been shorted (for a long time) the chip for the spot lock jog to work.....so there is a voucher in the box for a free one once they have them, apparently pretty easy to install youself.........................Fuck, what next? Also a buddy who bought a new GMC, but has to wait for the chip for the heated steering wheel and seats to work.......they will install it once available!
