    As the title says.

One caveat is I need it to be located in the Brandon area for pickup.

I have some family coming north for a laker trip and they are located in Brandon.

I know it’s a long shot but figured I would ask.

I have a 10” chipper flyte I was going to put up for sale in the fall.
Closest I can get it to Brandon is Portage on the 29th.

I appreciate the reply Coward. Our trip is this weekend so that won’t work but when you post that flyte for sale I may grab it from you if I haven’t sourced one already.

I had an old Jiffy with a 10” but it is currently in the “doesn’t run reliably” category so unfortunately I am trying to source a SM last minute to fit my other power head.

    Thanks again.

    Saw that. I PM’d @Tony already.

Funny but true Cam, the SM power head I have is the one I bought off you a few years back.

    Small world,,,or small forum anyway.

    Please remove Ernie.

I decided to bite the bullet and buy a new auger. No longer looking for a SM 10”. Thanks to all who replied and messaged. Much appreciated.

Wish I'd seen this a few weeks ago. I'd have sold you my 10" SM Flyte and brought it with me as I passed through Brandon going to/from Ontario. Have two sets of blades for it too...

I didn’t have it posted then Frank or ya,,,that would have worked well. My bad for being last minute with my request.

I decided to bite the bullet and bought the SM 40 V Lite with the composite flyte in a 10”. Got a decent end of season deal in Brandon and my family is going to bring it up with them on Friday.

You may want to double check that purchase - 90% sure the composite flight is only 6” and 8”.

Thanks John. It’s 10”. They came out with them this past season. PreviouslyI believe they were called the “Pro” model and had either 6 or 8” composite flyte. This year they are called the “Lite” and come on 8 or 10” composite flytes.

    Ya but for how much?

They (LOTW) quoted me $395 for a steel 10” SM flyte. I am sure their price is fair but when I found out I could get the auger and composite flyte for $699 it kind of made up my mind for me. I was on the fence about going electric and the prices mentioned above made my decision.

Auger flytes seem to have gone up in price considerably over the last couple years. Perhaps the composite flytes will be more reasonable but I am not holding my breath.

To be clear, my post in no way is intended to suggest LOTW has high pricing. My comment is on the going price of flytes these days. In fact LOTW was the only one who had a 10” flyte in stock so they were the ones who gave me the quote.

That $699 price across the board for augers this season made it a no brainer for a lot of people to make the switch.
