    Looking for some recommendations on cleaning the carpet in boats. Any product recommendations? Got some blood and catfish slime in er pretty good

    Put some meat tenderizer on the blood and wet the carpet down. leave it a couple of hours. Wash with a carpet cleaner after

    Lay the soap on rub with a brush or small broom then pressure wash let dry with all compartments open

    Bissel carpet cleaner concentrated soap. Soak down your carpet good with water. Pour soap directly on stains - be liberal with application. Let it sit for 5 min, then scrub with a brush. Rinse with water and you won’t believe how well it works. My carpet was stained with blood and coffee spills and after doing this the carpet looked brand new. You can buy the Bissel soap at Walmart or Can Tire among other places.

    To elaborate on the good tips above:

    Short(1” - trim down with shears if necessary), stiff bristle scrub brush. 3”x8”ish rectangular brush pad on a handle preferably. (Camco makes a nice telescopic brush system for a very reasonable price. Different brush heads are available from xstiff to xsoft). Soak the entire carpet with hot tap water(no pressure washers on carpet). Apply Bissell or equivalent carpet shampoo concentrate, scrub with light pressure vigorously. Scrub the entire carpeted surface twice, first east-west and then north-south. Begin rinsing with hot tap water while lightly scrubbing, work from bow to stern with the tongue jack maxed out so it drains quickly. Stop rinsing when the water runs clean with no bubbles. Do the entire carpeted surface. Do not just spot clean using this method. It works so well you will be disappointed with how the rest of the boat looks.

    This^^^my front and rear decks turned out so nice I ended up having to scrub my vinyl floor and I clean my boat very well each outing or so I thought?!

    WD-40 works on grease and oil stains. Once it’s cleaned up, give it a coat of 303 Fabric Guard. Great stuff for UV protection, water repellency, and stain guarding.
