A rude parrot

    A lady owned an extremely obnoxious parrot. Since the day she bought it, it would call out insults and mock her. She tried everything she could think of to train it - books, classes, visits from experts, but nothing worked.

    One day while in the kitchen, the parrot shrieked at her yet again and she snapped! She grabbed the bird, flung open the freezer, tossed it in and slammed the freezer door behind it.

    The bird shrieked and kicked inside for several seconds and then went suddenly silent. Concerned, she opened the door. The parrot slowly stepped out and said "I apologize for my rude words and disrespectful attitude. I ask for your forgiveness."

    The lady was totally astounded at the bird's change in attitude and was struggling to respond when the parrot continued, "May I ask - what did the chicken do?"
