Good deal. I like these. Got one in 8" and one in 10". Highly recommended.

What are you using now BGF?

Had two 10’s, dont use them much now cause for the last few years have just been flushing the majority of the slush back down the holes.

I always wonder if there are any negative sides to flushing down the hole or not? Guess it all just rises up to beneath the ice.

Yup, camera shows it hugging the bottom of the ice After a few minutes can’t even tell it’s there.

Ok, new to auger with reverse. After breaking thru instead of just pulling it out do you just put in reverse and take it out?

I pull it out, kick most of the shavings back into the hole, use the flyte to push it down, kick more into the hole and then start her up and flush it down. That’s for a permie, outside I kick the shavings away and flush what ever is in the hole back down

When using reverse to flush shavings, there will always be a certain amount that gets dragged back into the hole when bringing in a fish. Through deeper ice, it adds up quickly. I like a clear unobstructed view to better see when the fish is lined up properly.

Never been an issue. The pros far out weigh the cons. Yes a little slush might come back up but I’ve never lost a fish due to a little slush.
