Perfect little unit for keeping the boat batteries maintained over winter storage.

Just imagine how cold it would be without Global Warming!!!!!!!!!

I used to keep my batteries on trickle chargers for winter storage (unheated) until I learned it's not necessary......... with good healthy batteries, disconnect the "+" terminals, they go into storage fully charged and they are still pretty close to a full charge after 6 months, last couple of years they read 12.7v each, usually need the 20 - 30 minute top up with the onboard charging system and they are good to go.

Good to know. I pulled mine out of the boat fully charged and put them in my furnace room. I haven’t touched them since but figured they may need a top up before being reinstalled next month.

Batteries self-discharge much slower in the cold, putting them inside for storage is probably not the best as they will self-discharge quicker.
