I ordered two of these spypoint 2 pack cellular trail cameras. I only need 3 of the 4 cameras. Solar , as well as a lithium battery pack so no buying expensive AA batteries all the time. They are sold out of them now, so if anyone wants 1 camera I'm not looking to make money or lose money. Half of one pack, $125 plus tax. Exactly what I paid. I assume it should be delivered to my house later this week .

I know nothing about these cameras, can you make it take a picture with your phone or is it all motion activated?

I’m not actually sure.. but that would be a good idea if you could text it back and get a “live” photo whenever you wanted

I'm not sure. I don't have them yet to look at the manual.

If it’s possible to manually take a photo via the phone , I’d buy it

I have one of these, stopped working after year 2 , but was really nice when it worked. Still takes pics but doesnt transmit. As far as I know you can only change settings via phone, no manual photo option. The cell link that makes any regular camera a cell camera is also a good option if you already have a few of those kicking around.
