I'm just want to make members aware... Between now and over the next 2 or 3 days I will be doing a lot of maintenance, software upgrades, and tweaking both on the front-end and on the server side of the forum.

Usually work being done on the front-end goes unnoticed to the average user. But when software needs to be recoded on the server side of the forum, the forum becomes temporarily unusable, and at best, glitchy. I usually try to break up the down-time. So it should never be down for longer than approximately 15 minutes at a time.

So, if you notice our forum act a bit strange over the next couple-3 days, don't panic. Blame me. ;)

This will also be noticed if you'll be trying to upload and/or view images in the Media Gallery.

I will get it done ASAP, but, sometimes I do screw up and need to retest retest retest to get things working as they should. It's amazing how irritating a period (.) or ampersand (&) in the wrong place can be! :)

I will post again once I'm done.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi Ernie,

I can't remember if this forum is only view able by members or the public. I just realized that I can see threads without being logged in. I know you're making updates but not sure if this is something that needs to be remedied or not.

I logged out and could not get into the threads without logging in. I was only able to see the thread titles, and access only the full threads in the news section.

But that is just the news section. Can you get into the other threads?

You're right. It seems to be News and Buy and Sell sections only.

    That is correct @abousetta.

The News section, and a couple other sections are open. The rest are 'members only'.

    Hello members.

I'm performing some major upgrades to the forum throughout the day today...

Good news, the worst is over! Everything went A-Ok!

If you notice anything not as it should be, Please let me know ASAP.

The rest of the maintenance/upgrade phase should go without any noticeable interruptions to the members.

    Thank You.
