Hello from the Netherlands

    Hello all,

    My name is Ralph and in preparation of a fishing trip me and my friends a planning, I decided to try and subscribe to a forum in hopes of getting some advice.

    First of all, I want to thank Ernie for not mistaking me for just another spammer and allowing me to join this forum! :)

    I don't know if I should start a new thread in the appropriate place, or if it's okay if I ask some questions here?

    In short: me and four of my friends are planning a trip to BC in September this year. Besides enjoying the beautiful Canadian nature and wildlife, we also want to try our luck on catching some of the fish that many of the rivers in your country hold. So far we are thinking of at least paying a visit to Vancouver Island and the waters at Chilliwack.

    Welcome aboard. Wish I could help you out as I have family on the island but the times I spent there over the years my Grandfather was pretty set on fishing the same spots and 99% of it was spent on the ocean for salmon so I never got to experience much beyond his few haunts except a few small lakes for rainbows, cutthroat and cutbow hybrids(stocked). There is lots of good fishing to be had though. Enjoy your trip and tight lines.
