HELP SETTING UP MY HELIX 7 SI GPS PLS

    I'm looking for some "set up" tips on my new helix 7. I've watched several videos and tried them but they weren't very good. I reset it back to factory 2-3 times now.Some of the settings in these videos have way too much clutter on the screen.I generally fish walleye from 10-25'.

    Too much clutter on 2D? DI? SI? Any chance you can post screen shots and include the settings? Are you sure the transducer isn't getting turbulence and that it's level when the boat is moving? Also check that you aren't getting electrical interference from other wiring or motors.

    The higher frequencies tend to have a lot of noise in water with a lot of algae and pollen or other suspended debris so that can be an issue, too. Check how it looks at the lowest 2D and imaging frequencies.

    as mentioned i reset it back to factory, I can read it pretty well in this setting but I know there's more potential.I watched a Tom Boley vid on the boat but it was a mess with his settings,Itried another vid and it was the same.

    Post a pic of what the issue is and we can tell you what to adjust
    Pretty easy to filter stuff out on all modern brands - but - as youre seeing, a bit of learning required to navigate the menus!

    I will if I tweak it again. I use the factory setting with a lil less surface clutter sensitivity, SI out 50' each side 20' deep or less. My last trip I really caught on to the DI images, in fact I was calling a bite 20-30 seconds before it happened when I seen an image.I pointed out to the wife on the screen ,thats a fish...boom fish on.
