Honda portable generator

    This little thing is awesome! Runs like Honda should.....starts without question and quietly purrs until you turn it off or it runs out of fuel. :thumbsup1: Been so handy on a few moose fly outs and a bunch of back country fishing trips. Last winter I spent 37 nights in my permie thanks to it. Run lights, small coffee maker, laptop, satellite radio, charge cell phone and flasher batteries, etc. The size of a case of beer! 600 watts.

    I've used one very similar to this one. A tank of gas will last 5-8 hours depending if you run it full troddle or half troddle. To charge a cell or flasher battery, run lights, Etc... half troddle will do. Full troddle for higher amp gadgets like coffee perk, small mic, or small power drill.

    If I remember right, last winter I would start it up about 6pm on a full tank (1 gal ?) and it would run until midnight or so powering a laptop, a compact florescent bulb, charging my flasher and cell battery......

    You can never have too much Honda product. Hell if Honda made underwear I would have a pair on right now. Nice little purchase!

    Consider me 10th (or whatever) in line if PSs fall through.


    Sidebar: I'm a big fan of Honda products. They have such a strong reliability reputation that there is this widespread misconception that Honda products just "gas n go" and don't need to be serviced. This leads to inevitable component failure and the consumer's realization that Honda parts usually are pricey! Change those oils, filters and cooling system components and one Honda product should last you a lifetime (if the rocks allow it).
