I upgraded to a Carbon 9 so I'm going to sell these two units. Brackets, power cables, sun-covers included.

The Hook2 head unit will come with the upgraded Total scan transducer. I also have a second power cable for it.

The Elite head unit will come with the brand new 3 in 1 transducer shipped with the Carbon 9.

I was thinking $400-$450 for the Hook2 and $500-$550 for the Elite.

Does the Hook 2 run mapping? Specifically AEM?
If so I AEM have a friend who’s interested

Yes, like glennie said it runs maps. I've tried it with AEM, Navionics, the C-map card that came with the Carbon 9 and genesis social maps. It's faster map update/draw rate than my Hook4 ice. The new C-map card is pretty sweet from the little I looked at btw.

Hook2 units are MUCH better for maps than the original Hook units. Much faster redraw rate, better colors and display of contour line labels. Just beware of the Hook2 "x" variants.....while they have a GPS, they CANNOT display maps (AEM or others).

Retail on the 3 in 1 at The Fishing Hole is $400. How does $225 including standard Canada Post shipping sound?

If it was a 2n1 I’d be all over it. Thinking of selling my 3D.

3 in 1 is better. Why would anyone buy a 2 in 1 unless it was just to save a few bucks?

The 3n1 is good but I have an TM150 Airmar so no need for the 2D on the 3n1.

Not sure what head unit you use. Can't you run both the Airmar and 3 in 1 at the same time?

If so, use the Airmar for 2d and the 3 in 1 for downscan, sidescan only. If the Airmar ever crapped out you would still have all 3 sonar types till you fix or replace the Airmar. I'm assuming you sell the 3D.

I disagree Tony. Having another 2D source not only creates artifacts with the Airmar, there are issues with Lowrance software where running both a 3-in-1 and Airmar while networked will cause a bunch of incompatible frequencies to become the only choices available, and no option to run custom frequencies like 105 kHz. I had a 3-in-1 on the boat. The issues mentioned are why I went with the 2-in-1. No regrets either.

I have been running a 3 in 1 with the Airmar for 2 years without issue.

It works for some and not others, likely a software glitch. It sure didn’t work for me.
