Personally I wouldn't pay more than 400-450 for a 55 or flasher of equal caliber. Doesn't matter if the guy thinks it's worth 900 in the stores...
Ice 45's top should be 400$ come winter that's if they're basically brand new.

Bought a 45 4 seasons ago for $350 , have been looking to upgrade but people think just because they paid a stupid amount from retail because of the shit exchange rate that the used market is just as good. Wait it out for a good deal, should be lots come winter

It seems like the ice electronics market just keeps going up and up every season. I recently picked up a vx1-pro for $250 at the CSI grand opening. Now the wife won't be stealing the LX-5 when we fish together, which is rarely..

    I agree with you there!
I have bought stuff at the wrong time and found that when it came time to sell it , I couldn't justify giving it away but couldn't get anything out of it.
    It sucks.
I figured buying now would be good before the wave of new flashers come out and the new prices jump, everyone will think there used ones are worth more.

Ya i agree on the sellers greed these days - yes its a 'free market', but cmon... Selling used stuff used one-two-three seasons at full retail or more says lots about the seller, none good IMHO.

Was looking for an entry level for a back up/guest unit last year around $250 of any brand. A few came up but the seller said it basically sold instantly every time
