Lots of stuff on this site have some type of damage. Some bad some not at all. Depends how much you can get it for and what you can live with.

Ya but even if that seam doesn't leak, that Impact will never plane properly.

Patty are you looking at the same pictures we are? Boat looks mint other than one single scratch on either side and thats just a screw or bolt sticking out of a dock or another boat moored up. You should see what happens to boats on mostly boat access lakes like Minaki. When you have boats mooring up against you all the time going to parties, visiting and such. Just the way it is. I had a bad pontoon boat party last year where I wasn't paying attention, and I'm anal about my bumpers and dock rash...ouch. Just got the bill from Lund for $325 and thats with Funk cutting me a deal because I split the decal package with another Pro V owner.
99% it fell off the trailer while backing in (especially being on a roller). You can see in a few photos its curled the opposite way which would eliminate an underwater hazard moving forward. Unless the guy was cruising backwards and smoked something which is highly unlikely as the motor would collide first. As BGF stated, thats major damage that would effect the ride of the boat and you would never get it proper. The entire 6 inches is bent up. Just hitting that area where the transom and the hull meet with a rubber mallet can sometimes solve a planing issue, just needs to be off a tad. Not only is the transom compromised but the hull as well.
Thane can you find me a Fu&^%$ up 14' tinner please and a mini back hoe :)

Yeah I dunno, it looked like more than one impact to me, that's why I figured underwater impact... I'm probably wrong though I'll open it on my desktop and look closer lol

Yep could be tough to straighten the back of the hull properly looking at it closer. I guess it would be one of those things you'd have to send photos of to the Lund repair place in Steinbach before putting in a bid.
Hi Neil I can get you a ditch witch excavator with trailer and 2 non f-upped 14 ft aeroliner tinners with motors and trailers. Drop me a line bud.

Did they name the boat Impact before or after the accident? :D

Assuming it was an insurance write-off, you've got to wonder what the assessed damage was and what repairs went into making it saleable condition?

Still, that boat could be a great score for someone who doesn't care about speed or proper planing.

Looks like it rolled off the trailer on a steep boat launch to me,judging by how close the transducer is to the centerline, the owner must have been a potato head,I would say its worth a look if the price is right,12 grand Can is my bet for high bid.

Lots of money still in that rig. I'll say $13900.

Big job to repair, transom would have to be removed to repair the bottom and transom, then re riveted, painted,my concern if not repaired would be how the water flowing on plane would affect the cavitation plate and engine height?

hmmmm... i've seen boat damage from falling off a trailer at a launch and this seems fairly excessive. that's a really strong part of the boat and if it were to crumple in that easy from just rolling off the back on its own weight, i'd have to call into question this particular boats build quality. Not saying this isn't what happened, but i've seen a couple Crestliners that have had this happen and didn't need much more than some paint. hell even one fiberglass I/O boat that only scuffed the finish at the back end at north main launch (if you even have spare time and need a laugh, go there during the summer and watch the shit show lol).

Being a roller trailer owner, I know first hand you have to be diligent in checking your partner's 'work' after cranking the boat up......first time out with my one buddy in my current boat he didn't put the chain onto the bow eye and had a few inches slack in the winch strap....almost shit when he started up the bumpy ramp and the bow was bouncing......had to remain calm and politely let him know how close he came to destroying my new investment.....

On a sidenote, I've learned to love my roller trailer. A couple ramps out there I use that bunks might as well not even look at.

mind expanding on that? How do the rollers help at these launches vs a bunk trailer?
