I'm back at heater repair, not that I need it for the rest of year but I've ripped it down and its sitting on my bench.

Looking for a thermocouple, can't order just the single part. One has to order complete pilot assembly 20170315_125229.jpg so I'm thinking a gas furnace might use same part.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried Metro Propane on rte 90? I've bought a few Mr. Heater brand thermocouples there.

    Around $20

I called and metro may be able to match. I decide to order the whole assembly from amazon, $40 shipped. it would cost me half that in gas just to get there.

    Hopefully problem solved.

How old is the BB out of curiosity? I have 2, 1 of them 8 years old. Haven't had to replace anything on it.

3 years, the first problem-broken gas line was my fault for transporting it loaded with 1lbers. This heater has spent many-a-mile in the sleigh. It currently has a broken heat tile but functions fine.

I have a new spare, just haven't unboxed it.

Shit...... and I thought I put rough miles on lol. Plastic is all cracked on the on the bottom of my original. That one doesn't see much use, only when we take both shacks out.

I've learnt/figured out to pin mine under the 2 seats in the Otter so it doesn't move much if at all. Can't move up or back/forward. I'll take a picture in a bit to show what I mean.

Mine, the plastic is mint. It doesn't bounce around much, I have everything placed nice and snug. Just bad luck......

Hijacking but I saw a neat propane mod for an otter a couple weekends ago. Mind you they went by at 20mph but I'm going to try and figure it out this weekend. I'll post pics if it's successful

When I called asking for parts, they said to call Ontario and gave me a contact number. Mine is not warranty, so I can't comment.
