    Helping a buddy look for a boat. $20,000 limit, has to be a WT with a 4-stroke. Been all over the Internet, but thought someone on here may have a lead on one...

    LMFAO. My buddy has talked to that guy 3x this week. Can't justify it. He went to the border yesterday. With exchange and taxes that boat would be $12800 + $6540

    Exchange is my hold up to, if the dollar was better it would be a no brainer. Cross into Ontario on the way home and only pay GST.

    If it was a 4-stroke he would've gone for it. I convinced him the 2-stroke was a good motor but the taxes after exchange was a deal breaker. The boat does look mint though

    How are youo figuring that? I come up with about a tad under $19000 total if you bring in back through Manitoba and pay both taxes. Am I missing something?

    Ya I just checked the rates and was basing off 1.30 to buy US. Still though it's just over 18000 if you come back up through Ontario.

    After the boat show I started thinking about upgrading and I was looking at that one as well. lol

    I work in a credit union and the member buy rate was around 1.34 today. So that should be pretty accurate.

    Ya I meant to say I was basing off 1.30 and then checked the rates and saw that it is almost 1.34 to buy. What do you think that boat would be worth here? 15?

    Saw the same model 1993 with an 07 Johnson 140 just go for 13,500. That boat up here would be ~17,500-18,500 would be my guess.

    Almost 20g's for a 15 year old boat.......o_O Guessing it will be a while before I upgrade to an 18'er
