    Long story short, got a bunch of Musky gear I'm just not using....can't justify keeping it around if I'm not fishing for them. I'll sort through my actual baits and stuff tonight, but I'll get it started with the rods and reels...

    Listing stuff here before I put it on FB. Hope I can send it to a good home!

    1) Shimano Curado 300EJ. Reel is in excellent shape. Spooled with 80 lb. TUF line. This is the model with the power handle... $180

    2) Shimano Tranx 300HG. Again, reel is in great shape. Spooled with 50 lb. Powerpro. Double paddle handle on this one... $240

    3) Temple Fork Outfitters Big Fish rod. 9'6", 2 piece rod. More info on the rod here: https://tforods.com/tfd-big-fish-rods/ It's the 964-2 version at the bottom of the casting rods. Retails for $280 USD.... selling mine for $200.

    4) Shimano Sojourn 8' Heavy. Rod is basically new, only threw it a handful of times. $50.

    Indeed. I came to the same conclusion- I'm not using all this stuff, so why keep it?

    Musky are cool, the baits are wicked, the spots are exciting and awe-inspiring at times, the hunt and pursuit mindset is almost a mythical endeavor......but calling a 2-fish day a really good day is total bullshit. :)

    If there was any hesitation @Jneuf , it might make you feel better I have zero regrets about getting out of Musky fishing.

    Now I have more time to get frustrated with other species :p

    I'd say two is above average but man it's been a rough go this year compared to last. I've seen half the fish I saw last year at this point.... car repairs have had me grounded last bit but hoping to get back out again soon.

    Musky fishing is not for everyone and it certainly isn't easy... even the best sticks in our area are grinding to catch what they are believe it or not. I know some guys make it look easy with a 4 footer every weekend...

    I'll go back to fishing bass when I get tired of musky fishing but for now I'm still on a mad chase.

    Yup...I put up my lot of musky baits up here about a year ago. That was after they sat in the closet for probably 8 years after my last musky trip to LOTW. My rods however got promoted to the top of the heap for catfish poles...:tonguewink:

    My fishing time is too valuable these days to burn an entire day on the water in the hopes of catching 1 maybe 2 fish! Give me an 80 bass day over that everytime!
