I'm in search of some starboard. If you don't know what it is then you probably don't have any, lol. I went to pick some up today and found it is pretty price and the smallest piece is way more than I need. I'm hoping someone else bought some and also didn't need it all and the remainder is just sitting there collecting dust. Let me know the size of piece you have and the price. Thanks.

Starboard or mounting plate? I'd much rather go to ProAm tomorrow than Cabelas.

Pro am has the grey coloured transducer mounting plates. I bought a white mounting plate at Cabelas in the US. For me, white matched better with my white boat.

Pro Am had them last I looked. There are different sizes of them so make sure you buy one that will fit. I bought one that was too big a few years ago because I didn't measure first.

Just remember to patch all of your holes from your current ducer and speedometer placements and silicone around the plate once installed.

I hope I didn't lead you in the wrong direction with the name starboard Tony....the stuff I have says both "Tranducer Mounting Board" and "King StarBoard" on the label.

No worries Craig. I stopped at Cargo East (cool store) on Marion yesterday looking for it. He doesn't stock it because he said it's expensive but can order it in. He showed me the catalog and the cheapest one he had was 1/4" x 12" x 27" and it was $71. Way more than I needd and more than I cared to spend. I'll head to ProAm today. ;)

Picked one up from ProAm today. Looking to do install tomorrow. ;)

Hey @Coward I notice you have 2 ducers mounted. I'm curious as to what units you are running and how you go about using them both?

Just one unit. HDS7 touch. The big one is the structure scan the other is just the regular 2d 83/200.

Hey @Coward, I noticed you installed the lss-2 on the port side. Does it work fine there? I read that it was recommended to install the lss-2 on the starboard side where the prop moves downwards.

Works 100%, just need to trim up a little to see to the starboard side.

I have them both on the port side so when I'm sitting in the driver seat my jig falls under the ducer and I can see it on the graph.

Good to know. After reading this install guide, I thought that the port side would have too much water flow disturbance from the prop turning upwards in that area. Also thanks for mentioning having to trim up to see the other side, never thought of that. I will mount mine as low as possible then.

The 4 units I've installed have all suggested starboard side. Installed the first one as per Humminbirds instruction but moved it after a season. Next 3 installs all on the port side with 0 issues. Proper placement to get reading at WOT is a bit trickier but worth it.

Don't forget I only have mine mounted this way because it's a tiller. If console I would just mount it on the starboard side.

Mine will go on the starboard side, but when looking for lss-2 and broadband mounting location examples, I noticed yours on the port side and was just wondering if it made a difference. I will have three tansducers mounted on my transom, two for the hds (lss-2 and 83/200), and one for the Elite 7 hdi (hdi 83/200) and I will have another unit up front connected to the US2. Elite 7 at the bow, HDS 9 at the console, and Elite 7 at the back.

I am thinking to mount the lss-2 in the lowest position on the starboard side mounting plate I installed, then the 83/200 a few inches to the side of it and slightly higher. Then maybe the hdi transducer next up or possibly on the port side if I mount my rear head unit on the port side.
