If anyone is thinking of upgrading their Terrova to an Ulterra or Ultrex, I’d be interested in your Terrova if it’s a 24 volt 80 lb thrust, I Pilot with 60” shaft.

I have one that meets your description that I may part with at the end of the season. It was bought in 2016 and has ipilot link, let me know if interested.

Is that first or second gen? How’s the spot lock?

It’s the first gen w/o dedicated puck (mediocre spot lock). 2nd gen was 2017+ I believe.

I would offer mine tinman, but it’s gen 1, and the spot lock is “meh” at best...

Holy frig @Tinman , this means the very last fishing boat on the planet without a bow mount will go down in history! :p

Are you also shredding your PAAM (Pickerel Anglers Assoc. of Manitoba) membership card and joining WAAM?? That's a big step!

On a serious note-- my 1st gen spot lok has seemed to improve mostly. I don't get it, but it seems to be mostly good now. It seems like it updated itself. It actually undoes itself from twisting the cables around, on it's own, where I used to have to manually do it all the time, and there's less sway at the stern where it used to be gawd awful......I don't get it, unless by some strange chance it's capable of updating itself....which seems highly unlikely. At this point I honestly have nothing negative to say about my spot lok...weird, I know.

    Yeah Mike, that is weird...

I have been in my boat and buddies this summer, we both have terrovas - i have g1, he has g2
His G2 spot lock is spot lock, which will stay within 1-2m at most from spot.
Mine is area lock, and 5 m is pretty good!

the issue i see with mine is when off spot, it goes full speed to get back on spot - and overshoots everytime - repeats till you shut off. Then i have to unwind the wires..

Mine is the same, I also call it area lock. The stern of my boat wags like a dogs tail when I am using it, I want to buy the new generation but can’t justify it because other than that it runs flawless, and because I want to replace it when my it shits the bed it will probably last forever.

The issue with my Gen2 is it shuts off when I run it at 9 for too long.
They should make one with an 11 setting a la Spinal Tap Amp.
