I have my 7 ti2 on a unicorn right now with 9AH SLA and I really enjoy it.

You will need to get the navico 7 to 9 adapter to work with the PTI-WBL ice transducer. I am quite sure I got the last ducer from LOTW sports but they had a few adapters still.

I joke because a genz case is pretty much impossible to find locally it seems.. I got mine through a friend in the states.

It’s not that hard to make your own in a pinch. It can be a getto as a correct size plastic pail, wood risers, some hardware and a cloth bag. I have used the $2 Walmart shopping bags which have a little bit of padding (insulation). I use this for my spare (ice 35) and have repurposed it’s shuttle for my Helix 7.
My homemade setups get modified as I discover improvements.

You can get batteries from MB Battery and power cables from Fishn Hole or Raidio World etc.

Getto but very functional and free!

My inlaws lived in Berlin during WWII and they are masters of making something out of nothing as after the war they almost had nothing. Very good lesson to learn. And my dad was very good at this too. I get a kick out of making things and I don’t think it hinders me catching LOL. I have never heard of points for artistic impression when it comes to angling for me it’s F2 ( for you windsurfers) Fun and Function.

Since you put the LOL in there, and I know you've got a good sense of humor Dave, I'm confident I won't offend you, cuz I sincerely don't want to....but I have to say thanks for the laugh bud....that truly is a gawd awful looking Frankenshit Machine lol

Actually, it's the second most ghetto abomination I've seen in fishing. First place goes to a post I saw on a fishing site on fbook, where somebody was super proud of their shore fishing chair---it was a ratty old Lazy-boy with stuffing coming out and rips all over, full of mud, sitting outside at end of main, with a pvc pipe screwed into it as a rod holder...had some other (literally) garbage screwed to it..... I didn't feel super snobby to laugh my ass off at it

@Dave , as a Lowrance snob, I'd really appreciate it if you'd post that photo on Humminbird's page with a title-- "Appropriate ice case for an Ice-35"

Be prepared for @Tinman to steal your design though!

I checked there the other day and they said sold out. Price was also like $100 cheaper.
Maybe I will just find a power cord and a winter ducer and do my own.

hah and here I thought I was being resourceful for using an old cutting board to mount the unit!

Talk to @Cheebers over at LOTW he's the man. Got me everything I needed no problem.

    PTI-WBL Ice Transducer
    SKU: 000-0106-94

7-pin Transducer to 9-pin Sonar Adapter
    SKU: 000-13313-001
    https://www.lowrance.com/lowrance/type/accessories/chartplotter-fishfinder-mounting-parts/7-to-9-pin-xd-adapter-for-airmar-xdcrs/

    HDS/Elite/Hook/Mark Power Only Cable
    SKU: 000-14041-001
    https://www.lowrance.com/lowrance/type/accessories/chartplotter-fishfinder-cables-adapters/cablepower-only-hdselitehook/

You're also going to need an inline fuse holder for the power cable not sure if it includes one with the retail power cable package. My plan is to use the same battery in the summer as I use in the winter up at the bow since I'm just day tripping.
