    Got a pair of Gen 2 HDS-8’s
    Each has a skimmer transducer
Comes with a DI/SI ducer and structure scan to link them
    $1500 for everything

I did a quick ebay search and just the units are
Averaging $700 a piece, if $1500 is too much just Minnow.

Ya I would just use the head unit for running AEM.

Yes probably the best option is to sell them as a unit.

    cool

I’m 95% after a unit to run AEM for ice fishing so only need 1 and not the structure/DI/SI stuff

Are these units capable with an ice transducer? If so i might entertain the idea of selling 1 and keeping one for myself and selling the transducers seperate

Of course you can use it for ice - get the ice transducer & power cable then you're set - these are no different than any other locator.

I used mine last year as an ice unit, worked great with the ice ducer.

I'm using an HDS8 on the ice and it performs well.
