Any of you guys looking for a quad thinking of selling my 02 400 sportsman around 1200 miles on it. Asking 4000 obo or trade for a trolling motor. Will get some better pics this week

I’m looking, but I don’t think the 400 will have enough jam for what I’m needing it for. Hauling a loaded tinner into back lakes. Any guys with experience can chime in.

Nonsense, nothing to do with size of engine, more the type of drivetrain with atvs

True, the grizzly Hondas are geared lower for work. But I’d still go with a bigger bike. Works easier under load.

Yamaha and Honda. Both geared more for work.

Hauling boats out you need weight to keep traction. A 400 will easily pull a boat out, a big boat, if (a) tires can grip and not spin, and (b) if the frame and drivetrain (gearing and transmission) can handle the tongue weight and overall weight of the trailer - start bending the frame and you're in for a miserable expensive time. They do have a weight limit, as do sleds and most other vehicles.
Any ATV I have been on with H/L range, in low, could prob climb vertical if it could get the grip.

If talking tracks tho, been well documented that a 500cc is deemed the bare minimum from those that have used them.
