Testing the waters to see if there is any interest...

    Strikemaster Lazer Mag 8"
    43cc Solo Engine
I babied this thing and starts and runs flawlessly.
    12 inch extension
2 sets of authentic Mora blades.

Drilled maybe 100 holes as I don't ice fish much.

    $440

I was REALLY hesitant selling this auger. When I dropped it off, the thing started up without issue, as it has for the past two years...
I’m going green, as in ION X. I hope I didn’t make the wrong move...

I'd be curious what your review is by the end of march. My buddy has the ION thanks to falcon lake ice derby and it's pretty cool but the battery life is a major issue IMO. If you're a setup and hang out all day guy then I dont think you'll have any complaints but if you're running and gunning you might want one or two extra batteries. They're nice and light I will give them that.

I’m a casual ice fisherman; set up once and enjoy an adult beverage or two...

Well then I think you will love it man and that reverse is the cats meow for the hole clearing! It's also really nice to be able to punch holes inside the tent without any exhaust fumes.

One of the best investments you've made. That's my opinion... Going on 4 years with mine and still lovin it.

I really hope so! I also wanted an auger that my wife would use happily as she is generally terrified of small engines

Will probably be my next auger, question is do I sell my perfectly good Auger to help fund it (like you) or wait till mine breaks down then bite the bullet

I have the first version with reverse. Has no issues going all day on two batteries (again first version). Biggest issue is keeping the batteries warm. What I have done is take one of the kids insulated lunch bags (spare) and put hand warmers in it with the batteries. Seems to make a huge difference. That being said I am going to be using my gas auger more this year just because I feel bad letting it sit on the shelf.
