    There is many 7mm’s....
    7mm Rem Express
    7mm Rem Magnum
    7mm Mauser
    7mm STW (Shooting Times Western)
    7mm RUM (Remington Ultra Mag)
    7mm-08
And a few more I cannot think of right off....

I shouldn’t assume but I am guessing 7mm Rem Mag as it’s about the most popular......

It’s a 7mm rem mag. And the recoil is harsh on the t3.

Slam a Limbsaver recoil pad on it and problem solved.

I had the tika t3 in 30-06 for quite a few years. Very accurate rifle. I loved it but as mentioned it kicks like a mule. The last 2 years I used it I had the Limbsaver on too. Worked not to bad. I sold it a couple years ago.

Had a t3 in 7mm-08. Fantastic rifle. Nothing wrong with the tikkas at all.

Good rifles - heavy recoil - i have had 6, and sold them all as my needs changed. To this day i have never fired a rifle that kicks sooo hard as a T3 270wsm.... a 338LM with a brake kicks 1/4 of what that T3 did!
Too light of a rifle for me - i like to target/gong shoot, and i found 3-5 shots with a T3 in mag calibers was enough for me - whereas i can fire 50-100 rounds with my other rifles and not develop a flinch.
Not an issue hunting, as usually (hopefully) its a one shot gig - target shooting on the other hand, heavy is your friend!

Band aid approach to recoil management which doesn’t solve the true issue, poor design. If a gun is properly designed the combination of barrel alignment/drop at heel/weight distribution will end in a design with low felt recoil, not leave you feeling like you crawled out of the ring with Tyson.
Never owned a t3 but from what I have seen/observed I think they are highly overrated so never will.

I think we may be talking about different T3 models. The T3 Lite is the standard model most buy. As it name suggests it is a light rifle and they are known for kicking hard, very hard. I own a 7 mm T3 (not lite) in laminated wood stock with a ss barrel. I did put a Limbsaver recoil pad on it (because the factory Tikka pad is crap) and it is not bad to shoot at all. I can crank 15 to 20 shots out of that 7mm mag with no issues at the range. The T3 lite,,,different story. As others have stated, the accuracy out of the box on Tikka's is phenomenal. That guns shooting ability far exceeds mine.
