I'd like to mount an elite 5 series Lowrance on my quad, so I'm looking for the cable. Do they make a cigarette lighter type cable for these? I have a plug on the Can-Am and that would be idea.

I have the Elite 5 DSI, so the first one. I did some googling after I posted and found it. $50 for a plug seems like a lot! Ah well, gotta pay to play.

Surely you could make that yourself, no?

You could wire it direct to the battery and install an on/off switch. $5

I'd still need the connection for the back of the unit.

Use the one from your boat. For $5 of so you can buy the male end of the cig lighter. Should be easy enough to remove it in spring again and put back in the boat.

I wish it were that easy... On this model, it's a combined socket with the transducer... Otherwise I'd be all over that.

Oh shit. Benny, I have one on my boat that I don't use. Problem is, it's in storage out of town. I can maybe go grab it this weekend...

Do you need just the power or are you going to be using the transducer as well @Benny?

I'm pretty sure they're the same cable?

I only have one connection that I use at the back of mine. The other one is for GPS antenna if I'm not mistaken.

But don't need a transducer in any case as it's going on the quad.

I've got the power connection only. Will be perfect for your application.

Here is the power cable for the Elite 5 DSI. I dont think they come separate from the transducer.

Have the same part for my Elite 5. You can either wire it directly to the battery with an inline fuseable link, or wire it to a cigarette lighter adapter. Either option is quick and easy, the nice thing about the cigarette lighter option is you can use it in the truck as well if you want.
