No I haven’t fallen down and hit my head. But after seeing Don’ homemade fishing rod in action yesterday, I would like to try making one. Pm me if you have one that’s not too pricey.

Canadian Tire /Walmart sometimes has great deals on off brand rods that I wouldn't be afraid to chop up and use for ice laker rods

@Cam - I've got a rod kicking around at the lake that I never use any more that might work real well...

It's a 5'6" Fenwick (can't remember model) baitcaster...I want to say it's Medium/Fast, but I can't remember off the top of my head. Won't be able to get at it for a few weeks, but if you're interested I can get you more details.

Sure. No rush. I’m thinking of doing 2, one bait casting, one spinning. Keep me in mind.

Will do. I totally forgot about that rod until I saw this thread. I think it'd be about perfect.

I shouldn’t even mention this.....wife will kill me. I’m pretty sure I have two of those EXCEPT I think they are 6’6” and two piece. I know we used to or maybe still use them with spinning reels for BBouncing. If they are not set up for bouncing I should let them go. Maybe the wife will be proud of me for making the boat a little lighter.
