We are working away on zee data guys, not ready for the announcement blitz at this point....but I'm optimistic we will make a fair number of anglers happy with the releases this year. ;)

    PS. Thanks for the enthusiasm!

Traditionally the new AEM catalogue is released right around my birthday. My gift to myself is getting the upgrade and spending the evening by myself looking at the new maps. Makes it easy on the family!

    I wish I could tell you I was joking...but I'm not.

I'd like to try fishing there next year but with all the unmarked net posts and IIRC certain areas where you get shot at, I'm a little leery of going there. I could be way off base on the "getting shot at" part because my memory sucks reading all these threads. One thing I've heard also is the launch can be expensive or cheap depending on who is present, can anyone confirm?

I think the launch thing was only a shoal issue .
    I know nothing about shoal.

The rest were Woods . Can launch right in kenora at a few spots, and others in between off the highway. I’m a complete “rookie” at lotw which I know is a general area of a big lake. But I think of lotw for us as taking off anywhere on the northern arm.. say Clearwater to Indian .. and working your way south by boat .. where as some people think of nester falls area as a starting point when the say lotw.
It’s a big place and I’ll slowly learn it. One can only hope that the “northern arm” gets mapped piece by piece.. and I understand how much work would be involved in a project like that..

@Green , we plan to survey the northern part of LOTW. Its size is a little bit intimidating, and we would have to tackle it in sections like we are doing for Shoal.
