Heart Lake brings back good memories :thumbsup1: I am guessing 45 years ago, my dad, 2 cousins and I had an amazing day of Perching. 2 on the Ukrainian Drop Shot Rig many times that day and when I replaced the spark plug with a jig...3 at time, nice ones too. I wish I knew were those pictures are.

Moose Lake. With this release, AEM officially welcomes @glennie_rapala into the fold (the leg work for this one was all his!). Moose Lake is very different from the shield lakes that make up the rest of our current catalog. It isn't particularly deep (17' max depth), but has a lot of subtle variation in depth, which makes for a very cool (and I 'm going to assume useful) map. I've never fished Moose Lake, but now I want to give it a go!

Thanks Craig, the map looks awesome and much better than what I could create with Insight Genesis.

Moose Lake is a tune-up for a much bigger opponent in Buffalo Bay.

Buffalo Bay - you're next, we're coming for you!

Yah, then the alarm clock goes off and it's back to reality. :p

It's a big undertaking and we'll need good weather and an early start. Shithawking Tinman will definitely cause some delays in getting it done.

Beautiful Craig and Rob, I'm out that way a few times a year. When Birch Point/Buffalo is too rough we head to Moose Lake. Awesome update!
Oh you need to get on it this spring @glennie_rapala! ;)
I thought we were going to do a AEM day? Please, please, please. :icefishing2:

I've got a couple lakes in mind yet before ice season is over. Also can pretty much guarantee where I'll be opening weekend.

And the final AEM 2017 preview.....Shoal Lake 2017 coverage. Notable additions include Indian Bay and the route from Clytie Bay launch (south of Cash Island) leading to it.

As you can see from this preview, Indian Bay is generally much shallower than the other parts of Shoal Lake we have mapped so far. A beautiful lake to fish, with year-round opportunities. I used to be too intimidated to fish Indian Bay because of the combination of distance from the launch and abundant lower-end busters....this changes things. Dramatically.

That Shoal Lake map is a game changer...seriously. Thank you guys for putting in the time and effort to get that done!!

Just out of curiosity, is there any desire to map the southern portion of the lake too? That's some pretty big open water!

We are now in position to proceed with upgrades and the launch of our 2017 chips. March 2 is the official date people will be able to get their chips, and it will work similar to last year.

Pro-Am and Fishin Hole will have the new chips in stock for March 2. You can also pre-order from our website starting February 23, and we will ship them out (free shipping) on March 2.

Upgrades: existing customers have the option to upgrade their previously purchased chips. Costs are proportional to the amount of new content plus a small processing fee. The complete breakdown for all the available chip/year combinations are now up on our website. New 2017 content + edits summary is attached below. A few examples: Complete Catalog 2016 to Complete Catalog 2017 will be $50 ($40 content + $10 processing fee). Whiteshell 2016 to 2017 will be $30 ($20 +$10).

How to upgrade? You can mail us your chip after going through the upgrade checkout on our website. When we receive your chip, we will re-program it and mail them back to you (shipping it to us is your responsibility, and you will be charged $10 for insured return shipping). More details on our website (www.anglersedgemapping.com). Most people will want to avoid these shipping costs, and so we are happy to announce that there will be two AEM Upgrade Events this year. The first will be on March 2 at the Fishin Hole. People need to pre-order their upgrade via our website, and show up at the Fishin Hole on the evening of March 2 (6.00 - 9.00pm) and we will be setup to re-program your chip with new 2017 data. A high proportion of people who bought our maps in 2015 took advantage of this option last year to upgrade to 2016 chips. There will be a second upgrade event hosted by Pro-Am Tackle, at a date to be determined later.

Just to clarify, people can pre-order upgrades now, new chips as of Feb 23. Nothing will be shipped until March 2 though.

@Jneuf : we are certainly not done with Shoal. It is a big project for us, but we do plan on finishing it, one section at a time.
