    Up on reed when I lived in the pas we used pretty well anything for burbot. Sucker, minnows, sausage (don't laugh). All caught but don't remember which was the best choice.

    If I go for burbot, it'll be with spoons and rattle baits... dead bait reserved for ginormous toothy critters in a secret location yet to be determined... lol

    My stomach will be happy to know that I didn't buy 14 packs of hot dogs and buns this year..... thanks to those contributing to the meals lol

    I did however make some (hopefully) wicked fish fry coating... the big cooker is coming up boys!!!

    True luxury fishing in one of the suped up permies up here. Right on the edge of timber. Many fish caught today after almost 12 hours of angling. Plenty lost as well. 4 legit chances at master pike on the burbot grounds all resulted in failure today.
    Did manage a 31 inch bot as the storm rolled in. lost a bigger one after that.
    7 cm of snow and was a white out
