    If any of you are interested I came across this on the 306 Ice Fishing page on FB....

    Machined aluminum Strikemaster 40V Lithium

    Selling polished aluminium extensions for the 40v strikemaster augers, turned from solid aluminum. Extremely solid and no wobble, after a month of testing I’m please to bring these to market. Countersunk for hex fastener which comes included.

    Standard length is 12”

    6, 8, 12, 16, 24 and 30” lengths available.

    I like the idea it's machined from a solid piece and not hollow as would be required for extendable. I think it will offer less vibration and wobble plus be stronger and definitely lighter in weight than a steel extension.

    True however it's only $5 more than a 12" Rapala steel extension at Cambodian Tire.....

    All he needs to do is lathe the entire shaft except where the mounting area is and drill more holes into them.
