I picked up one of the 22" ones for my Helix 9 project.

    https://www.princessauto.com/en/detail/22-in-impact-resistant-tool-box/A-p8486037e

The CT one is $200 regular price and goes on sale for $100. So this one is a good deal on sale for $50. I do have the medium CT one that I store my Helix 9 head unit in. It does appear to be better quality, but the PA one is very good for the price.

10" case worked perfect for the ice tent's projector!

No more humming and hawing @Little Spoon , your New Year's resolution should be shit or get off the pot. This time it is a cheap shit at least.

If anyone is wondering, the one in the link I posted does have an additional layer of foam that isn't in the pictures that fills it to the brim.

No need to shit on yourself man! Give yourself credit where credit is due. Worst case scenario for $20 for the small case you might not use it for your original purpose, but you will at some point.

For you guys running graph units out of a setup like this are you using a ram mount or something different?

I am in the process of rigging a Helix 9 in one. I got ahold of a spare OEM gimbal mount that I am going to use. A ram mount would work in most situations as well.

@Little Spoon buy a case, cut your foam. I have an unused layer of foam from mine you can have if it doesn't work out and you want to return it to PA. The foam is pre-cut in a grid, so you just pull sections of it out by hand, easy peasy. I will put the extra foam on a shelf in my garage until you post that it worked or not. Just a $20 gamble, with free insurance. Someday you can risk 100x that on a tent sight unseen haha

Ram mount is the way to go. Easy on/off, move your unit between boat and ice setup easily.

Yeah if I didn't have access to the material for the price I did I would have gone the ram mount and bag route. Happy with how mine turned out though. Besides weighing like 20 lbs with the 15ah battery it's awesome haha. Was holehopping on Saturday with it just pulling it around in the little pelican sleigh lmfao.

Picked up the 10 inch Impact Resistant Tool Box, its actually pretty small and the HDS7 does not fit in it. Have to step up to the 22 inch case.
