    If that bird was covered in oil, so would another thousand birds, and there would be dead washed up poisoned fish and invertebrates. The aquatic life would be messed up and poisoned for years. If that bird was affected by a spill on the land the oil would be leaking into the ground water contaminating the ground aquifer, poisoning the soil so it was unfit to grow vegetation for years. Sorry to say, this comparison is like apples and oranges. Was the bird in the picture actually killed by the wind turbines or die of other causes? More bird die every year flying into skyscrapers, house windows and cars on the highways than slow moving wind turbines.

    Come on really are we going to make this comparison?
