Might be a blessing in disguise.... I've spent a fair share of time launching from poplar bay and heading west, past the cut off on this release... but I did do some more exploring on the east end late this summer and did fish some spots that looked fishable on navionics, and produced, so AEM WILL make a difference for sure...

2 areas mapped in that neck of the woods that will give me some more spots to check out!!!

    Is a 10lb robin fat???

Yeah I'll be doing that one for sure, its a very well run event, on familiar water that I'm comfortable on... Last year was my first year doing it, and we did okay, so might as well try again... Not sure how many of the other events I'll be doing, tournaments cut into the family time on the water, not to mention the costs associated with participating in each one... I'm still up in the air about Pinawa:neutral:

I wish we could have done more....but that'll always be the case. Good maps take time.

I find it increasingly difficult to have these maps at our disposal and not be able to participate in all the tourneys on these bodies due to time constraints. The various LDB tournies, walleye and bass... Shoal x2, falcon walleye/bass, lundmania etc . Gotta pick one or two and go for it.

I know you guys are doing all you can and taking away from family time doung it. I totally appreciate it as many of us do! With that being said I'm happy you guys managed to map the body of water I frequent quite a bit. Like I said earlier, you are just going to change my launch points and on top of that you are making me a better angler by making me leave my comfort zone out there and try something new. What your maps taught me at Brereton was that I actually am learning and starting to figure out what might hold fish. For that, I am grateful!

I think you should! I picked Falcon, because of your maps I have confidence there. I'm sure I'll shit the bed but I don't believe I will get skunked. You guys need to take time for yourselves too. ;)

Patty is hiding something....he's a good Walleye and Smallie stick. Don't let him snow you, it's part of his plan!

Oh don't worry I won't ever follow you out by truck onto the lake again, but the boat, well let's just say I trust your judgement. ;)

All in fun Patty, I know you tried. Thanks for taking the lead!

Having friends with boats is cool.... being able to put yourself in the water in the dark solo, be the only guy on the lake for hours sometimes a whole day is something entirely different!!! As much as I have a great time in the boat with friends family etc, my best days are my solo days... I just find there is no one to argue with or keep happy but myself... I can't do that one technique I've been wanting to try for a while, by myself and not while trying to teach others... I know I probably sound selfish, but to me it's a great way to enjoy a day on the water... sadly, it doesn't happen as often as it used to...

Very true Patty. My best days in the boat are when I'm by myself. That's when I'm trying new techniques I'd never try with someone else in the boat.

I too enjoy fishing solo. The ability to do your own thing is priceless.

Nailed it Patty, I enjoy the early morning solo days. Trying new stuff, fishing different spots, not worried about trying to put someone on fish is the best.

I have only done it once, that was last year when I went to Brereton for the first time. I enjoyed it. I thought to myself I can do whatever I want. I can sit on this spot that may or may not produce for 10 mins or 3 hours, it's all MY choice. I can stay on the lake as long as I want. I do enjoy the company most of the time but I do agree it was nice not having to please someone else. I think I'm going to make this a ritual to do at least once or twice a season. ;) Thanks Patty!

I fish solo most of the time and prefer it, but its nice when you have someone to split the costs with. I go out a lot and it sure is expensive.
