Gonna smoked a few this winter (seriously). But not from LDB. From one of the many lakes they are stunting in.

We used to get a few deep-hooked incidentals while going for Mooneye on bobbers back 20 years ago in Pinawa....its been so long that I can't recall exactly what they tasted like smoked (only that they were good). Then once I actually started targeting bass I got in the mindset that bass are this mythical sport-fish that deserves special treatment, and should always be catch and release. Much like @Patty I think, I feel very differently now. I have been keeping a few bass here and there over the past few years, frying them up with the right coating they turn out pretty good. But looking forward to trying the smoked variety again.....if they taste like bacon....giggity.

Eating Small Smallies out of stunted water is awesome. May as well, cuz it seems when they've stunted in a lake, the Walleye fishing has already been the shits anyhow.

Smallies taste pretty good.....but they don't compare to the rich, luxurious flavor of 30" greenbacks and extirpated Sauger. Drizzle some 38" pureed Catfish renderings on it and serve with Sturgeon puddin' that's been fermented into wine.....and call me for dinner!!

Patty, do you kick puppies on your way to work? lol

Funny you mention that....I'm reading the In-Fisherman Smallmouth Bass handbook right now and that's pretty much exactly the way they describe it.

At least my favorite sportfish doesn't come gift-wrapped with 23,000 posts from dipshit googans that think there's one and only lake with Smallmouth and it's being netted to extinction and that's why they got skunked yesterday!! ....you Pickerel-licking simps

Fuck you Coward! ...err I mean fuck you Gord! ....dammit, wrong thread! Screw you guys, I'm going home!

No @Mike B., I do not kick puppies... what kind of cruel person would do such a thing.....

@craigm I'm happy your smarter than your brother, I heard his gonna be featured on and up coming episode of brown bass outside where they will put the Eskimo rocket on fast forward and Swiss cheese the lake looking for 16" keeper crappies and 20" slabbable smallmouths........ you should probably have a talk with @robm about that, he seems a little "off"...

Puppies no. But I bet you eat hamsters and kittens. Then you pull your white hood off just to shove a fried smallouth down your gullet.
