Hook1, Elite Ti and HdS power cables are interchangeable.

Hook2 use a different power cable.

I believe @Little Spoon has a Hook1....so that is not the correct cable.

Blue or red connector is just cosmetic...they both work.

Does anyone else have an issue with the wire pulling out of the connecter on the battery end? Fucker came out on me on Wednesday and I had to fish blind for the most part. Or did I not crimp it enough when I had access to a crimper

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say if you mean the wire is coming out of the connections you crimped on, you didn't crimp them well enough.

You gotta be careful I’m still getting that problem. Thinking of getting some high end crimping tool Orr just solder them on. I remember @Mike B. mentioned that soldering wasn’t the best option.

If the wire is pulling out of the crimp you are A. Not crimping it properly or B. Way too rough on your equipment...

Did you have pliers with you out there? If it was loose enough for the wire to fall out of the connector just slide it back in and crimp it with pliers for a temporary fix.

I triple check all mine now. Been burnt too often and totally agree on proper size wire matched to the connector is critical and something I’ve been guilty of doing. I’m adding a battery this yr just for peripherals. Sonar, bilge etc.. Gonna be a big job but I don’t like my setup and from what I’ve heard it’s hard on the sonar when you start up the boat motor and the sonar is still running.

It's not loose enough for it to slide out I pulled it out when disconnectting it in accident it's very tight on the terminal when the wire is connected

It's the connecters that came with the cord

Check the fuse? If doesn’t have one put one on.

interesting, didn’t know the power cables came with quick connects! Not sure I’ve ever bought just a stand alone cable though.

Well, just pop by Princess Auto and grab a couple more and crimp them again. Even better, get the small bag of them...that way if one feels loose after crimping you can scrap it and redo it.

Word of caution, never pull from the wire but rather the connector itself.

I always pick up connectors at PA when they’re on sale. The heavy gauge red connectors are like 34 bucks a bag so I wait for those to go on sale for sure.

I’ll add to this and say if you’re at PA get yourself a crimper, too. It’s one of those things you’ll wind up using a lot if you own power sports equipment.
