    I’ve been looking at the channel lock ones at PA ,they’re pricey but but probably worth it.

    Those are the ones. Cheaper to buy at PA. That’s US price.

    Real stupid question would be worth it to heat shrink the connection after crimping? For extra peice of mind

    Bought those and screwed them up trying to crimp heavy gauge connectors

    As per specification they are only good for 22 AWG to 10 AWG.

    Heat shrink is not necessary if you crimp properly.

    @Little Spoon, I have some extra piggy back insulated connectors and a good crimper. Pm me if you want the connectors (free) and use the crimper.

    It's a good idea to use Ox-guard or other oxidation prevention paste when crimping copper wire to aluminum connectors.
