L/F Starboard

    I have my 2D and LSS2 on port side. No issues and get good readings at high speed. I also have my LSS2 mounted slightly lower than the recommended installation height.

    Tiller also.

    Hey @ coward, did you use the supplied mounting screws for the lss-2? Was your mounting board thick enough, or did those screws go through it and put new holes into your boat? I am about to mount mine and am wondering about the possibility of using shorter screws.

    I grabbed some shorter screws from Cargo East if I'm not mistaken. Nice little selection at the back of the store.

    I used shorter screws from Canadian tire, they have lots of stainless screws packages.

    I used the same screws provided. Marked and prestarted the holes, measure desired length against board, used a pair of Klein pliers to cut points off screws. Worked like a charm.

    Definitely pre-drill using a small bit. Screws won't hold if you try to drive them into the board with no pre-drill.
