question on lowrance Ice pack above ^.

Comes with a ice ducer, attached to the ducer cable/wired with it is black & red power cable. With inline fuse on the red.
I haven't picked up the hook unit yet , but shouldn't the power cord be separate from the ducer cord ?
Read a thread on shanty guy had problems/confusion with what those wires where for but his thread was very hard to understand.

I think you bought the ice pack without the blue connector and that is for the Elite 4 or 4x units with the black ducer cord that is not seperate from the power cord. The link in Ribbie's post is the ice pack with the blue connector ducer cord and this one does not have a power cord attached to it. This would be the one you need for the hook 4 I believe. The hook 4 has a red connector power cord and a seperate blue connector cord for the ducer.

On my elite 5 DSI the power and transducer wires come together at the plug. They plug into the same outlet on the unit. Its easy to figure out which is power wire.

For my Elite 7 HDI unit, I just bought the blue connector ice ducer for like $80 bucks. Its PTI-WBL. Fishing hole sale start tomorrow, may be able to get one at a discount.

I think his problem is he bought the wrong ice pack. His Hook has two separate connectors on the back. The ice pack he bought only has one connector that goes to the back of the unit. Like yours. Also, the connectors themselves are shaped differently.

It comes with an adaptor black to blue , but will still need the power cord.
I think this was the confusion I was reading as the guy hooked up the ducer red/black to the battery and his unit did not work

Ribbie, I have an Elite 7 Chirp as well. I bought a soft case at princess auto for a circular saw, and an extra gimbal bracket for the unit and drilled the gimbal to a piece of pressure treated 1x6

Last year was second season where I added the an ICE 597ci HD unit to my arsenal. I love being able to use GPS (with Navionics card) mounted in the truck and then transfer it to the shuttle to use on the ice if I want. Still have a massive love affair with my LX-7 and LX-5 on the ice though, just because! and..........I'll still always be a Marcum guy. I did buy an LX-3tci last year too, end of season blow out and got a great deal, never got a chance to use it though.
