    It's quite a lot of cases. I tried to get pricing yesterday but no luck. I will try to sort that out today and get a proper list

    Northern Lites are excellent quality Emerald Shiners, Nate's are excellent quality Spottail Shiners (bigger).
    I prefer the Spottails as long as they're shiny. Some tackle shops hoard too many cases and sell the old shitty stuff first, (from last winter, so almost two yrs old) while the new stuff gets freezer burnt......then they blame the supplier :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    I think buying direct you're gonna get nothing but good stuff...this years crop. Maybe I'll avoid the middle man this year.

    Sounds like you have a full load Kris...maybe if you offer again I'll get in on the next batch.

    Yes Mike, now that you clued me in Nates were Spottails, and good quality! The Coregonus clupeaformis were gobbling them up Monday and don't understand why more of them are not caught through the ice on Lake Winnipeg. I have been told that they are a blast to catch through the ice when you get into them, but I have only caught one during hardwater.

    Thanks for the offer Kris but I have a spot in town that sells me cases of fresh northern lights. I think I paid around $60 for 24 salties last year for a friend.

    I will be getting a case of unsalted soon. Almost out from last year.

    I haven't tried Nate's yet.

    I've only accidentally got onto them from the boat. Wouldnt be a bad time once the Lakers have gone sleepies. Meathoggin' season is almost here! :smile:

    This is my last trip to The Pas for a while so it's a one time deal.

    I've tried a couple times now to get a hold of someone who works there with no luck yet.

    I'll keep trying. I'll be heading back to Winnipeg Wednesday/Thursday next week.
